Meditating on you as you exist today will not help. As you travelled through life, you have changed. Witnessing what you have become over time and contemplating over it is most important.

Acceptance of this Ego-Self that you have become is the answer. Only then can you drop it to visit your true self within. This will allow the witness of your ‘self’ and help you keep distance from your ‘ego self’, the name by which you are addressed in this world.
